Are you ready to ride Belgium’s tight, winding streets and famed cobblestone climbs as you vie for position—or simply try stay on your bike or not get left behind? Bike racing is an integral part of Belgian culture and nowhere is it more challenging than in Flanders, where there’s a race nearly every day of the summer.
Despite this trip’s name, however, Race Immersion isn’t just about being on your bike. You can do that on any one of the hundreds of bike trips out there. As a veteran bike racer and former restaurateur, my goal is to offer you the chance to immerse yourself just as profoundly in the Belgian cultural scene as in its racing scene. Instead of experiencing Europe through the constantly changing windows of hotels and restaurants, you get to return to your home away from home where you can enjoy the local cuisine and use it as a base to venture out on side trips.
