Communicating with back home

Use Skype: Put a few dollars on your Skype account so you can call land lines and cell phones. Skype is the cheapest way to phone home. If you want a cell phone for local calls and emergences, you can rent a phone before you arrive in Europe or buy a GSM European phone from Amazon or eBay for $25 to $50 before you depart. Upon your arrival, you will simply need to buy a SIM chip with pre-paid minutes.

Health Insurance

No one expects to crash or need medical attention. Please understand your policy before you travel. In the event of a mishap that requires medical attention, be prepared to pay with a credit card and seek reimbursement when you return home.
